Eolaí’s Desk…

Eolaí's Desk...

Eolaí's Desk...

I heart this desk so so much… Eolai says, “Gives undue prominence to one particular painting, but this is where the computer lives unless I’m painting something large. Whenever I fully unpack in the studio I’ll move to an actual desk, a messy one as was the case for years in America.  And yes, I frequently make the mistake of cleaning brushes in my tea instead of the water. Acrylics don’t taste so bad.”

This is great and the painting you’re working on is beautiful.

American Hell on the laptop – is that “product placement”?

Do you ever accidentally put your brushes in your tea?

Yummy desk! Makes me want to leave mouse and pick up the brush again….

    That’s not a desk! THAT’s a desk.

Doh – it removed my ‘Crocodile Eolai’ tags, that’s what I get for uber nerd humour.

Sinéad – thanks. I’m always happy with the paintings when they’re starting out (as that one is) – but then I often send them on a hell of journey that may never end.

Primal – good point, I need to launch the American Hell mugs, the American Hell fridge magnets, the American Hell coasters, and of course the American Hell t-shirts for which I have the model ready – he’s due to come out of his winter clothes.

Elfinamsterdam – you’ll have to read the small print (it says yes). Too many times -a perennial risk that goes with the territory I suppose, the territory of painting and the territory of always drinking tea.

Spaghetti Hoop – Do it. Un plug your mouse and hide it (when you’re not looking) and then you’ll be at least forced to paint with your fingers on screen?

John – I think the structure of your comment implies the pseudo-code, so you were grand first time – but you watch, somebody will photograph their laptop in a fridge beside the leftover mashed potatoes and the German orange juice – and that will be a desk!

My favourite desk so far. I love the painting in the foreground – beautiful.

    Do you do art?

Aoife – I’m afraid I’ve made a pig’s mickey of it since. Maybe in time, and after a long journey, it might come back to what I thought it was going to be when I started.

Gimme – only if he’s up for it – but never on that desk; the springs would never hold.

This is just wonderful. That’s a well-loved desk (not in *that* sense, in a nice way)

This is the most wonderful I’ve seen so far.
